Green Elephant Books is proud to announce that we are hosting a Voter Education PowerPoint Night to help our community better understand Nevada’s recently failed ballot measure, WC-1. Have you ever seen a measure fail and wondered what happens next? This event is designed to answer that question in a clear, factual, and easy-to-follow way.

The event will take place on Saturday October 25th at 12pm in one of the seminar rooms at the Sierra View Library in Reno, Nevada. For those who cannot attend this first event, there will be another hosted on Monday October 27th at 2pm. Admission is completely free and open to the public. As part of our nonprofit’s mission to spread awareness about libraries and their importance in our communities, this session will focus on what WC-1 does, who it affects, and where residents can find official updates and reliable resources.

Our presentation will walk through the details of WC-1 in a straightforward, nonpartisan manner, followed by a brief Q&A session for attendees to ask questions or learn how to access information from official sources.

Even after a vote has failed, understanding the outcome and its impact is an important part of being an informed citizen. By breaking down WC-1 and explaining its real-world effects, Green Elephant Books hopes to empower Nevadans to stay engaged, curious, and connected to the decisions shaping our communities.

(Disclaimer: This event is strictly nonpartisan and for educational purposes only.)

We hope to see you there!
