A Site Dedicated To:
– Writing
– Self-Publishing
– Raising Funds for Libraries

Hello, I’m Anna Lee. I am a self-published author and the founder of Green Elephant Books, dedicated to empowering young writers about the writing and self-publishing process and raising funds to support Northern Nevada Public Libraries currently facing significant budget cuts.

My journey for creating Green Elephant Books began after learning that the Nevada Washoe County Public Library System would face a $4.5 million budget cut, resulting in the loss of 23 staff positions and the entire book budget. As a book lover, this news meant that the public libraries in my hometown would face severe cuts that would lead to job losses, cut children’s programs, and reduced library access.

Through Green Elephant Books, my goal is to help raise awareness and money to alleviate public libraries’ budget crunch and to help the libraries continue to thrive and serve as invaluable resources to our community and my fellow aspiring writers.
